Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Chatsuno's website, dashboard, chatbot widget, and APIs (collectively the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. Account & eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or have legal capacity in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

2. Use of the Service

• You may use the Service only for lawful purposes.
• You may not reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense, or use the Service to build a competing product.
• You may not upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or that you do not have the right to use.
• You may not attempt to disrupt the Service or circumvent rate limits and security controls.

3. Subscriptions & payment

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly cycle through Paddle, our merchant of record. Prices are listed in EUR on our pricing page and may include VAT depending on your location.

Plans renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel from the billing page at any time; you keep access until the end of the current period.

4. Free trial & refunds

Paid plans may be evaluated for 14 days at no charge. After the trial, billing begins unless you cancel. EU consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal on a fresh paid subscription. See our refund policy for full details.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Chatsuno (knowledge sources, brand assets, configurations) and of the conversations your visitors have with bots you operate. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and transmit that content solely to deliver the Service. We do not use your content to train AI models.

6. Acceptable use of AI

• You may not configure a bot to impersonate a real person without authorisation.
• You may not use bots to provide regulated advice (medical, legal, financial) without appropriate disclaimers.
• You are responsible for the content your bot generates and must monitor for hallucinations or harmful output.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance and force-majeure events may cause downtime.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that creates risk for us or other customers. You may close your account at any time.

9. Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Dublin, Ireland, unless mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes are announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
