Cookie policy
Last updated: May 2026
This page describes the cookies and similar technologies used on the Chatsuno website and dashboard, why we use them, and how you can control them.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let the site remember your actions and preferences (e.g. login state, language) over time.
2. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the site to work — they handle authentication, security, and load balancing. These cannot be disabled.
- Authentication session (Clerk).
- CSRF tokens and rate-limit counters.
- Cookie consent state.
Functional
Remember preferences such as the billing-toggle (monthly/yearly) and which dashboard panels you have collapsed. Optional.
Analytics
Aggregate, privacy-respecting usage metrics so we can improve the product. We use a self-hosted analytics tool that does not track you across sites and does not require a cookie banner in most EU countries.
3. Cookies set by the chatbot widget
When a Chatsuno-powered chatbot is embedded on a third-party site, the widget may set first-party cookies on that site to remember the visitor's conversation across page loads. The site operator (our Customer) is responsible for disclosing and obtaining consent for those cookies in their own cookie banner.
4. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their privacy settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to Chatsuno.
5. Changes
We may update this page when we add or remove cookies. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
